Safety first
Culinary true cinnamon is food-like and is lower in coumarin than cassia (C. cassia / C. burmannii). High-dose 'cinnamon pills' are often cassia and can add a coumarin-hepatotoxicity burden. Glycemic trial evidence is conflicting.
