Acute cystitis in a non-pregnant woman may still need culture/abx per local resistance. Cranberry PAC products have mixed prevention data. Uva ursi is a short-course traditional urinary antiseptic with hydroquinone/liver-pregnancy problems — not first-line.

    Typical. PAC-standardized juice/capsule as studied (often 36 mg PAC/day prevention).

    Safety. Warfarin INR case reports (conflicting). Sugar load in juice. GI upset.

    Typical. Leaf 3–4 g/day equivalent, few days only if used at all.

    Safety. Pregnancy no. Not for kids. Not for CKD. Hydroquinone theoretical with long use. Last-line adjunct.

  • Pyelonephritis, male UTI, pregnancy, catheters, stones, recurrent without workup
